Job Title: Field Heavy Equipment Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our Sudbury Construction and Forestry branch in the North Bay area.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and attachments. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose the working condition of heavy equipment and attachments
  • Repair and maintain heavy equipment and attachments to ensure optimal performance
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance and inspection activities
  • Order parts and materials as needed
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation
Requirements:
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
