About the Job

This position requires a skilled counsellor who can respond to individuals in crisis, assess their needs, and connect them with essential services. You will work collaboratively with other agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive care and support. Your expertise in crisis intervention and stabilization will be invaluable in helping clients navigate challenging situations.

Main Responsibilities

- Respond to emergency calls and conduct crisis interventions as needed
- Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to address specific challenges
- Connect clients with community resources and services to promote long-term recovery and stability
- Collaborate with other agencies and service providers to ensure seamless care transitions
- Provide education and training to clients and their families on coping strategies and resources available

What We're Offering

- Competitive hourly rate ($26.74 per hour, starting)
- Opportunity for wage differential ($29.57 per hour) for registered professionals
- Grid progression up to Level 8 ($33.90 per hour, non-regulated; $36.71 per hour, regulated)

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. social work, psychology, nursing)
- Valid Driver's License and adequate insurance
- Experience working in crisis intervention and stabilization, with knowledge of community resources and services
