About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team at Good Shepherd Centres. As a key member of our Transitional Beds Program, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with complex health and social needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in a community setting
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support clients with medication management and health-related tasks
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Participate in Good Shepherd's Health and Safety programs and procedures
Requirements
  • PSW certificate, in good standing from an approved institution
  • Experience working with individuals with complex health and social needs
  • Ability to work within a Harm Reduction framework
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgement, problem solving, and assessment skills
  • Fluency in a 2nd language is an asset
  • CPR certification or willingness to be certified
  • Commitment to anti-racist/anti-oppressive practice and Good Shepherd's mission and values
