**Job Summary**
Plains Midstream Canada ULC is seeking an experienced Pipeline Technician to join our team in the Rainbow Lake – Zama area. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for conducting pipeline operations, maintenance, and projects in a safe and efficient manner.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct pipeline operations, maintenance, and projects in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs and guidelines are followed on all pipelines and process equipment.
- Verify compliance with sampling, measurement, and tank gauging procedures to ensure accurate over/short balances.
- Understand and adhere to company safety practices, procedures, and policies.
- Generate service requests, track and complete work orders, and complete detailed work logs in MAXIMO.
- Operate light-duty machinery, including skid steers, forklifts, man-lifts, plow trucks, and picker trucks.
- Perform periodic inspections and calibrations of process equipment, and general site/building maintenance and housekeeping.
- Ensure compliance with Industry Regulatory Directives and Alberta One Call / Ground Disturbance programs.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and assist MM & EI craftsmen with job scopes and tasks related to process equipment.
**Requirements:**
- Experience in pipeline or battery operations with mechanical aptitude on process and related equipment.
- Preference will be given to those with 3-5+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong computer and problem-solving skills required working with Microsoft, Excel, Workday, MAXIMO platforms.
- Self-motivated and energetic with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of craftsmen and contractors as needed for maintenance, operations, and projects.
- Permanent residency within the Peace River District (100km from Peace River) and/or in the Highway 35 corridor between Peace River and High Level.
- A valid class 5 license for DIFO or Drive In For Operations to Rainbow Lake from within the prescribed area.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
