Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in Canada. This is a fully remote role with a pay rate of $55-$60 CAD/hr.

About the Role:

  • The primary objective of this role is to ensure fair, respectful, and consistent treatment of employees worldwide.
  • You will handle complex ER cases and employee investigations, ideally with knowledge and experience in various state regulations.
  • You will work collaboratively, build relationships, lead, and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • You will apply good judgment, tact, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential documents and communications.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a wide variety of complex ER cases and employee investigations.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs, Legal, Information Security, Ethics & Compliance, Communications, Diversity & Inclusion, and others to execute thorough investigations.
  • Apply critical thinking and decision-making skills, problem-solving, and root cause/analysis skills.
  • Promote knowledge and understanding of company policy and relevant employment laws through coaching, presentations, and training.
  • Assist with data reporting and analytics of ER cases for themes, trends, and root causes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Employee/Industrial Relations, Business, Employment/Legal Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3-5 years Employee Relations experience.
  • Strong understanding of applicable United States employment laws and regulations.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills, problem-solving, and root cause/analysis skills.
