About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Tandoori Palace Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of ethnic dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Determine the size of food portions and costs, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and manage kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in East Indian cuisine, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
