About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Mile One Eating House. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
    • Prepare and submit reports on customer feedback and satisfaction
  • Administrative and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
    • Prepare and submit reports on inventory and sales
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or supervisory role
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods
    • Physically demanding with bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking required
  • Personal Qualities and Skills
    • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment
