Job Description

The Strategic Buyer plays a crucial role in managing the procurement process and supplier relationships for a specific category of products or services. This position is responsible for cost optimization while ensuring that procurement strategies align with the company's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies aligned with the company's strategic priorities for the assigned category.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities and streamline initiatives.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers in close collaboration with the procurement team to secure favorable terms.
  • Lead cost-reduction and innovation projects to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor supplier performance by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose corrective or improvement actions.
  • Manage the storage of production components and consumables required for operations.
  • Participate in product analysis and categorization to facilitate optimal portfolio management.
  • Regularly track procurement KPIs and propose strategic adjustments based on results, always aiming for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of procurement strategies and support cross-functional projects.
  • Take responsibility for all other related tasks associated with purchasing and category management.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Management, Procurement Management, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in strategic procurement management and supplier negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in procurement management tools and KPIs.
  • Good project management skills and supplier relationship management experience.
