Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Summary:

Frequentis Canada is seeking a dynamic Quality Manager to join our well-established team. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and implementing the improvement of business processes and practices through the analysis of processes and procedures and ensuring ongoing quality practice assurance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimizing and maintaining QM-systems according to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 to ensure certification is maintained.
  • Providing up-to-date expert advice, reporting, and briefings to the organization regarding quality issues and opportunities.
  • Creating, updating, and reviewing policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with the required standards, legislation, and best practice.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and reporting metrics to accurately track the current state of the Frequentis Canada QMS.
  • Conducting recertification, overseeing, and leading ISO audits.
  • Conducting and participating in internal audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with software and safety quality standards (ISO 9001, ED-109A).
  • Conducting supplier audits.
  • Leading, organizing, and representing Frequentis Canada in periodic customer audits.
  • Establishing and maintaining an Improvements Program.
  • Evaluating and maintaining a Legal Obligation Register covering the requirements of 9001, 45001, and 14001.
  • Improving the reliability of new product development processes.
  • Ensuring Electrostatic Discharge standards are maintained.
  • Providing EHS expertise, guidance, and advice to management, and health and safety representatives, ensuring they understand their role and meet their legislative obligations.
  • Reviewing and updating the EHS management system, including standards, policies, and procedures and supporting systems, ensuring that all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and standards are met.
  • Ensuring that rigorous EHS audits, inspections, and investigations are conducted, and that appropriate risk identification, assessment, and control measures are in place.
  • Coordinating the EHS Induction processes for new employees.
  • Ensuring that breaches and any non-compliance or observations are investigated, resolved, corrective actions taken, and learnings identified and disseminated.
  • Engaging with management and staff on EHS issues and programs, communicating and promoting effective EHS practices.
  • Determining the EHS training needs of Frequentis Canada and establishing the training program.
  • Providing guidance and advice to management on environmental initiatives and opportunities.
  • Conducting audits on existing Frequentis Canada environmental initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or related technical qualifications with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Auditor qualifications and deep ISO 9001:2015 knowledge.
  • EHS qualifications.
  • A proven track record in quality management, preferably in a tech-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A mission-critical mindset.
  • A hands-on mentality and willingness to solve issues that arise (including the personal follow-up of work-packages that the project team is unable to handle).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Eligible for Secret Security Clearance within the first year of employment.
  • Knowledge of ED109A and/or ED153 is a strong asset.
  • Bilingualism in French/English is a strong asset.
