Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OTR Tire Technician to join our team at the Rainy River mine site. As a key member of our Mining Tire Group, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tire service and repair to our customers in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient tire service and repair to meet customer needs
  • Perform all aspects of tire shop work, including dismounting and mounting tires, ensuring proper load requirements, and conducting equipment checks and calibrations
  • Assist mine maintenance staff as required and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on tools and equipment and ensure all work is done according to Kal Tire work and safety standards
  • Complete required reporting and logging of data, as required
Requirements
  • At least two years of related experience with direct experience as a tire technician preferred
  • OTR service training and certifications desired
  • Experience operating and maintaining tire manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks
  • Experience working in an environment where safety procedures are a key part of daily operations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to physically perform the duties of an OTR Tire Technician safely
  • Able to obtain and maintain all applicable licenses, certificates as required to perform the duties as required to work at mine sites
  • Able to perform mechanically related tasks
  • Able to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner
