Job Overview

Aramark Canada seeks an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to oversee food, housekeeping, and resident laundry services. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, and coaching employees, maintaining records, and ensuring audit compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Manage foodservices, housekeeping, and resident laundry operations in a Supportive Living environment

    • Coordinate and delegate preparation and delivery of resident and client catered functions

    • Conduct and delegate monthly Food Safe Audits

    • Participate in Resident Council meetings and client meetings

    • Contribute to Social Club, Total Quality Management, Business Planning, Capital Equipment requirements, and recommendations

    • Prepare for and participate in COR audits, PIR audits, Accommodation Standards, Accreditation, and Alberta Facility reviews and client business reviews.

    • Attend Family Information sessions and ARAMARK meetings and functions

    • Perform and delegate all work in accordance with Client and ARAMARK policies and procedures, including quality assurance items and Health & Safety initiatives.

    • Participate in Human Resources functions, including recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, payroll, and employee performance management

    • Maintain and delegate all E4W input

    • Organize and delegate regular staff meetings along with the manager

    • Display a polite, spirit-of-service attitude towards customers and co-workers and maintain a friendly, efficient, and responsive attitude toward clients and clients' customers/patients while performing job duties.

    • Investigate resident, family, and employee concerns and complaints with a focus on follow-up and appropriate resolution

    • Investigate and delegate all employee injuries and near misses with a focus on recommendations for prevention of future incidents

    • Perform all other duties as required
