About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Director to lead our digital transformation projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing large-scale, multi-phase projects from initial concept through deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, monitor project milestones, and manage dependencies to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate efforts across diverse teams, including technical, design, and operational teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and create actionable mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, facilitate regular updates and feedback sessions, and prepare and present project reports.
  • Public Sector Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to relevant public sector standards, guidelines, and policies, including I&IT Directive and the PMO Stage Gate process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-phase projects, strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps) for tracking and managing progress.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders across multiple departments, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Risk and Budget Management: Skilled in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation to manage project risks effectively, proficiency in project budget planning and monitoring.
  • Public Sector Experience: Familiarity with public sector project management standards, including Ontario's PMO Stage Gate process and other government protocols.
  • Technical and Tool Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and related integration practices.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
