About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter II to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of customer service, working collaboratively with colleagues, and ensuring the proper preparation and presentation of meat products.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Four Rivers Co-op's high standards for customer service
- Work cooperatively with team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
- Ensure proper meat preparation, including trimming, cutting, wrapping, and pricing, to meet meat department standards
- Merchandise meat counters and fixtures to create an attractive and inviting shopping environment
- Receive and properly store merchandise to ensure freshness and quality
- Rotate meat products to ensure optimal freshness and minimize waste
- Keep the sales floor organized and clean, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Two years of meat cutting experience in a retail environment
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptable, organized, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality results
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a focus on exceptional customer service
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail, with knowledge of food safe handling practices and sanitation protocols
- Appropriate computer skills and technical knowledge to support department operations
- Ability to lift heavy objects, as required

Working Conditions:
The Food Store is open 7 days a week, including most statutory holidays. The successful candidate must be able to work weekends and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
