Teaching Opportunities at Johnathan Academy

We are seeking a qualified and experienced mathematics and science teacher to join our team at Johnathan Academy, an independent secondary school located in the heart of Vancouver. As a mathematics and science teacher, you will be responsible for teaching senior mathematics and science courses to our students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach senior mathematics and science courses, including Pre-Calculus 11, Calculus 12, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of our students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning
Requirements
  • British Columbia teaching certification
  • High proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with the AP, IB, and SAT curricula
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching senior mathematics and science courses
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
