About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at Master Foam Inc. as a Furniture Restoration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and refinishing furniture to its original glory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upholstery and Restoration: Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture parts to ensure the longevity of our products.
  • Furniture Fabrication: Lay out, cut, fabricate, and install upholstery to meet our high standards.
  • Trim and Ornamentation: Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons to add a touch of elegance to our furniture.
  • Frame Repair and Refinishing: Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to restore their original beauty.
  • Operational Efficiency: Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to ensure efficient production.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess manual dexterity to perform intricate tasks.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Demonstrate hand-eye coordination to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Physical Abilities: Be able to bend, crouch, and kneel to access and work on furniture.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience: Possess 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in upholstery and furniture restoration.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 35 hours per week.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
