Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in a long-term care setting. As a Physiotherapy Specialist, you will work with residents to develop and implement personalized therapy plans to improve their physical mobility and overall quality of life.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled Physiotherapist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. You will be responsible for assessing residents' physical needs, creating tailored therapy plans, and providing hands-on treatment to promote recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents' physical abilities and create comprehensive therapy plans to address their needs.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to residents, using various techniques and modalities to promote physical mobility and function.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Document residents' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy.
  • Current practising full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
  • Three (3) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A valid BC Driver's License.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $73,500 - $98,400 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid time off and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Please note that travel is a requirement of this position, and transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health.
