We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention and Control Lead to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a critical member of our community, you will play a key role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement infection prevention and control programs to prevent the spread of infectious agents.
- Provide guidance and support to front-line team members on infection prevention and control best practices.
- Conduct surveillance and data analysis to identify trends and patterns in infections.
- Investigate and manage outbreaks and epidemics.
- Collaborate with regional teams to develop and implement infection prevention and control strategies.
- Sound knowledge of applicable provincial regulations and standards.
- Minimum of three years' experience in geriatrics in a clinical health setting.
- Completion of Basic Infection Prevention and Control Courses or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (CIC) or Associate Infection Prevention and Control Certification (A-IPC) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Fluent in English.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Experience in Infection Control.
- Experience and/or training in Principles of adult education.
- Certification of competency from the College of Nurses of Ontario and if required certification with College of Nurses in BC.
