At The Labrador Inn, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker, Building to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel, motel, and resort properties.

Work Site Environment: You will work in all weather conditions, ensuring that our properties are safe and clean for our guests.

Work Setting: Our maintenance team works in a hotel, motel, and resort environment, providing a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance Tasks: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
  • Waste Management: Emptying trash cans and other waste containers, and washing windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Advertising and Administration: Advertise vacancy, balance rent roll, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, perform minor repairs on appliances, perform safety and security checks, supervise other workers, move heavy furniture and equipment, and perform other routine maintenance jobs.

Physical Demands: You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks.

Requirements: We are seeking a dependable, organized, and flexible individual who is able to work with minimal supervision. You must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
