About Our Team
The Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board has a seasoned Senior Leadership Team with 14 board members, 3 main departments (Integrated Human Services, Paramedic Services, and Administration), and over 225 employees. We serve a geographical area totaling 45,000 square km and are responsible for the development and execution of annual budgets exceeding $50 million. The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and talented transformational leader who can build successful teams and partnerships to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and outstanding patient/family experiences. The successful candidate will be a system thinker and excellent communicator who can plan and implement change, and creatively achieve results to ensure the efficient delivery of services to the residents of Manitoulin-Sudbury districts today and in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the paramedic services team
- Manage municipal and First Nation paramedic services, Community Paramedicine programs, and Nonurgent Patient Transportation
- Develop and implement quality services that meet the needs of the community
- Monitor outcomes, develop improvement initiatives, and develop policies and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related discipline (e.g., Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Leadership)
- Minimum of 10 years' experience within a paramedic services system and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a paramedic services system leadership role
- AEMCA certification as established in The Ambulance Act of Ontario
- Meets and maintains all employment qualifications for paramedics as outlined in the Ambulance Act of Ontario and Ontario Regulations 257/00
