Cybersecurity Analyst Level 2

At Alter Solutions Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst Level 2 to join our security operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities- Alert Review and Qualification: Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources, determining the credibility and impact of each alert and taking appropriate action.
- Initial Remediation Tasks: Address and resolve initial security concerns, implementing basic remediation measures to mitigate risks.
- Incident Escalation: In cases of major security incidents, promptly escalate to higher-level teams for further investigation and resolution.
As a Cybersecurity Analyst Level 2, you will be part of a dynamic team that emphasizes innovation, technological monitoring, and creativity. You will frequently interact with global infrastructure and application production teams, navigating a complex organizational structure and managing the pressure from security incidents.
Requirements- Educational Background: A degree in technical IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, familiarity with common cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response Skills: Quick reflexes in responding to security incidents, ability to identify and analyze potential threats.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience; prior experience in a SOC environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in a shift-based schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to develop good relationships with other production teams.
- Autonomy, availability, perseverance, and stress resilience (analytical ability during production incidents).
