Clinical Sleep Consultant

Job OverviewThe Clinical Sleep Consultant will provide respiratory services with a focus on sleep diagnostics and therapeutics. This role involves collaborating with referring physicians, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality clinical evidence-based care.
Responsibilities- Sleep Diagnostic Testing: Conduct appointments and set up equipment for sleep diagnostic testing based on American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines.
- Respiratory Therapy Treatment Plans: Evaluate client therapies based on referrals and determine treatment plans in consultation with physicians.
- PAP Therapy: Initiate PAP therapy when prescribed, providing patients with education, instructions on use, and cleaning and maintaining of their equipment.
- Follow-up Care: Provide regular follow-up to clients to evaluate the effects of therapeutic care, recommending adjustments and modifications if required to increase compliance and comfort with therapy.
- Product Promotion: Actively promote related products and provide solutions to client needs.
- Continuing Education: Maintain most up-to-date continuing education as related to the position to ensure clients receive current therapies and devices.
- Client Safety: Recognize the importance of client safety in the Air Liquide Healthcare organization.
- Equipment Maintenance: Follow established company protocols for the cleaning and disinfection of all equipment.
- Administration Tasks: Responsible for all required administration tasks.
- Funding Processes: Comply with and maintain knowledge of all funding processes and systems.
- Documentation: Ensure quality documentation through completion of all company documentation and forms as per policy.
- Confidentiality: Maintain client confidentiality and protect Air Liquide Healthcare's operations by keeping information confidential.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Registered Nurse or RPN/LPN
- RPSGT or CCSH certification
- College certificate or diploma in a technical/medical science field where permitted
- Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
- Good knowledge of obstructive sleep apnea and CPAP therapy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications, and Android
