Job Title: Auto Body Technician

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team at No.1 Collision (Richmond). As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for repairing and refinishing vehicles to their original condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure high-quality results
  • Plan and execute repair work to meet customer expectations
  • Provide excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Clean and maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Instruct apprentices and share knowledge and skills
  • Replace and repair vehicle components, including body panels, doors, and frames
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to achieve a smooth finish
  • Mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using specialized tools
  • Remove and replace damaged components, including fenders, panels, and grills
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces to achieve a showroom finish
  • Repair or replace interior components, including seats, carpets, and trim
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs
  • Mix and apply paint to match original colors
  • Operate soldering equipment and use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • Straighten bent frames using specialized equipment
Requirements:
  • Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification
  • 2-3 years of experience in the automotive repair industry
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment
