Job Summary:

Natural Factors is seeking a skilled Site Construction Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in site management and supervision.
  • You will be responsible for supervising a team of construction workers, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all construction activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • As a Site Construction Superintendent, you will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects meet the required specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPERVISE WORKERS AND PROJECTS: Supervise a team of construction workers, including tilesetters, painters and decorators, floor covering installers, and other tradespeople.
  • COORDINATE ACTIVITIES: Coordinate and schedule activities with other departments, including laborers, apprentices, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
  • ENSURE HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS ARE FOLLOWED: Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, and that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • RECOMMEND PERSONNEL ACTIONS: Recommend personnel actions, such as promotions, disciplinary actions, or terminations, as needed.
  • REQUSITION OR ORDER MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring that they are delivered to the construction site in a timely manner.
  • MULTITASKING SKILLS REQUIRED
  • FIRST AID CERTIFICATE

About You:

  • 1-2 years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with construction software, such as Procore or PlanGrid, is an asset.
