Job Summary

As a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized deli area, rotating stock, and adhering to strict food safety and handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Zoning the department to ensure efficient workflow and customer flow.
  2. Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a high level of product freshness and quality.
  3. Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  4. Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers and associates.
  5. Taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance to customers.
  6. Providing assistance to front-end associates with price checks and other tasks as needed.
  7. Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and other menu items.
  8. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
