Job Title: Network & Systems Administrator

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Network & Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our network infrastructure, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, and providing top-notch technical support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, wireless, Cloud, and data center networking.
  • Develop and enforce network and systems security controls, including encryption, authentication standards, access controls, anti-malware services, and software updates.
  • Manage virtualization infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking resources, high availability configurations, and server provisioning.
  • Administer physical data center and Cloud resources, including servers, chassis, cabling, and network equipment.
  • Maintain critical infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS, file services, and backups.
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of our corporate communications infrastructure, including email, telephony, and video conferencing.
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT Support Specialists to resolve complex technical issues and provide technical expertise to other team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in network and system infrastructure administration in a medium-sized business environment.
  • Experience with virtualized infrastructure, IP-based phone systems, CCTV systems, SAN and NAS storage technologies, firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, and network cabling.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server, and Exchange.
  • Expertise in administering Office 365, Azure, Meraki/Cisco, Ubuntu/Linux, and Veeam backups.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current infrastructure, network, or security certification.
  • Experience with IBM System-I (AS400) administration.
