We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Shop Manager to lead our panel shop operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex projects, leading a team of designers, builders, and laborers, and ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Manage the lifecycle of panel shop projects from planning to completion, ensuring that deadlines, quality standards, and budgets are met.
  2. Team Management: Supervise and mentor a cross-functional team, strategically assigning tasks and fostering a collaborative work environment that values continuous improvement.
  3. Inventory Management: Coordinate all inbound and outbound materials, ensuring that our team has the necessary resources to complete projects efficiently.
  4. Work Allocation & Scheduling: Coordinate workflow and resources to optimize team performance, ensuring project milestones are met with efficiency and precision.
  5. Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and resolve challenges proactively to keep deliverables on schedule.
  6. Quality Assurance: Lead quality control efforts, performing inspections to ensure that all products meet specifications, safety standards, and CSA requirements.
  7. Technical Problem-Solving: Provide hands-on support in resolving complex technical issues, ensuring smooth project execution and knowledge-sharing across the team.
  8. Resource Management: Strategically manage resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, to maximize productivity and maintain cost-effectiveness.
  9. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, from work orders to CSA tracking forms, ensuring transparency and traceability for internal and client audits.
  10. Safety & Compliance: Uphold a safe, clean, and organized work environment, enforcing safety regulations and company policies.
  11. Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement, customer service, and other departments to align project goals and customer expectations.
  12. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine shop processes to enhance productivity and deliver top-tier results.
Requirements
  1. Project Management Mindset: Proven experience in managing projects, leading teams, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  3. Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of electrical panel systems, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and providing technical support.
  4. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in quality assurance and project documentation.
  5. Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (ConnectWise experience is a plus) for tracking project status, team hours, and resource management.
  6. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to team members and stakeholders clearly.
  7. 1+ year of experience in a supervisory role within an electrical panel shop or related environment.
  8. Experience in project management is a strong asset.
  9. Knowledge of shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
  10. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  11. Experience in automation panel building is a plus.
