Job Description

Job Title: Sessional Instructor: Animation: Critical Perspectives

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Instructor to teach a course on Animation: Critical Perspectives in the Faculty of Arts & Science at OCAD University.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver course outlines, lectures, critiques, and grading for the course
  • Prepare and deliver studio sessions, including lectures, discussions, and creative assignments
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Meet academic and curricular requirements and deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant discipline
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment

Terms of Employment: Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6, per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
