Job Summary

Ozark CSCMP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to lead our dynamic operational environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for consistently exceeding established goals, demonstrating a commitment to customers, and driving excellence and innovation.

Main Responsibilities

People Management

  • Establish and sustain a culture of training and development, ensuring all supervisors and associates are competent and understand their role in achieving business objectives.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain quality associates who embody our company values.
  • Foster effective communication and motivation among team members, recognizing and rewarding excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with associates, customers, and supporting departments.

Operations Excellence

  • Meet or exceed customer key performance metrics and objectives, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local customers, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Lead teams to identify and implement operational improvements in areas such as inventory accuracy and warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with other sites to share best practices, leverage resources, and drive business results.

Financial Management

  • Develop and execute annual financial and operating plans, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Lead the operation with integrity, meeting or exceeding business plan targets.
  • Identify and address issues with operating metrics and profit and loss statements, making timely adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely customer billings, associate payroll, and intercompany charges.

Safety and Compliance

  • Lead a culture of safety through personal example, ensuring a safe work environment for all associates.
  • Develop and execute a continuous improvement plan to reduce accident and injury frequency.
  • Ensure each associate understands their role and responsibilities in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Proactively identify and correct unsafe conditions, work processes, and behaviors.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.

Growth and Customer Experience

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.
  • Develop and execute a process to track and record value delivered to customers.
  • Identify and seize profitable business opportunities for customers and Ozark CSCMP.
  • Utilize available metrics to monitor and maximize customer efficiencies and achieve cost savings.

Fleet and Assets

  • Lead efforts to improve fleet and equipment utilization, maintenance availability, and fuel efficiency.
  • Contribute to equipment specification at time of start-up and renewal.
  • Build strong working relationships with local PTL district and other equipment vendors.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • 4-6 years related functional experience.
  • 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience with supervising warehouse associates in distribution center management required.
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to connect and build rapport with associates and external customers at all levels.
  • Ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills, with follow-up and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage through problems and think and make decisions independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute annual financial operating plans.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
  • Must demonstrate ownership and responsibility for running the operation with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present in front of others and demonstrate active listening skills.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and complete a Penske employment application.
