Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Outreach Nurse. In this role, you will provide professional nursing and educational support to improve health outcomes for Indigenous communities. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement programs that address the complex health needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to improve nursing practice standards in communities
  • Deliver professional nursing and educational support in relation to mental health and substance use
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement programs that address the complex health needs of our patients
  • Travel to different communities to provide support and education

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in registered nursing or bachelor's degree or diploma in psychiatric nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Additional training and education related to substance use, harm reduction, mental health, and trauma-informed practice
