Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Super 8 Truro by Wyndham. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Guest Services: Provide basic information on facilities, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, handle and report lost and found items.
  • Supervision: Work under the supervision of a senior housekeeping staff member and assist in coordinating activities of workers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Flexibility and reliability
Work Environment

This is a permanent, 30 hours per week position. The work environment is fast-paced and requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including hotel rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities.
