Job Summary

The CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean is seeking a Healthcare Assistant - PDSP to join our team. As a Healthcare Assistant - PDSP, you will be responsible for performing general tasks such as cleaning, maintaining, and organizing equipment and materials. You will also be responsible for preparing and distributing certain products. Your duties may include:

  • Following procedures for changing beds
  • Cleaning and disinfecting bathtubs, showers, and toilets between uses
  • Cleaning and collecting dining areas after meals
  • Restocking bathrooms, carts, and storage areas with linens
  • Distributing clothing carts to residents
  • Assisting with resident transfers using wheelchairs
  • Preparing snack carts
  • Collecting soiled linens and adult diapers
  • Preparing resident rooms for updates and nighttime routines
  • Assisting with resident surveillance
  • Participating in occupational activities with residents
  • Performing PDSP tasks if trained (restricted tasks)
  • Assisting with feeding if trained (restricted tasks)

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completed PDSP training
  • Completed training in the healthcare field (an asset)
