Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Clearbridge Mobile. This role involves delivering high-quality back-end solutions using Java, Springboot, and AWS technologies.

About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient back-end systems that meet the needs of our clients. Your primary focus will be on writing clean, maintainable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement back-end solutions using Java, Springboot, and AWS technologies.
  • Write stories (use cases, technical and functional requirements), tests, and code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide effective solutions that balance technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Participate in sales meetings and provide estimates, risks, assumptions, and requirements for future opportunities.
  • Attend development meetings (stand-ups, kick-offs, retrospectives) and design sessions with teams and clients.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to open-source software projects to demonstrate expertise and experience.

Requirements

  • Strong development and debugging skills with a deep understanding of Java in backend contexts.
  • Proficiency in consuming and producing tested APIs.
  • Experience in relational DB design and non-relational database usage.
  • Certified expertise in CI/CD devops, including AWS, Heroku, GCP, monitoring (datadog, Splunk), CircleCI, Jenkins, and GitHub.
  • Able to take ownership of tasks, raise questions and risks early, find creative solutions, and bring them to completion.
  • Possess excellent communication and mentoring skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
