The Health and Beauty Distributor Inc is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Professional to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified individual to provide accurate financial records, establish and maintain accounts, and prepare various financial reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely payment to employees.
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation, maintaining accurate records of company assets.
  • Keep detailed financial records, using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, providing a clear picture of the company's financial position.
  • Post journal entries, accurately recording financial transactions and their effects on the company's accounts.
  • Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports, providing valuable insights to management.
  • Assist in preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare trial balances of books, verifying the accuracy of financial records.
  • Reconcile accounts, ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred.
