Electro-Mechanical Technician

Alstom is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production unit, you will be responsible for assembling and installing various components, performing electrical and mechanical installations, and ensuring the quality of our railway vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and apply electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and other technical documentation to complete assembly tasks.
- Install and assemble railway vehicle components using standard work procedures and hand/power tools.
- Perform basic testing and support troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems and components installed in the railway car.
- Install and repair railway car parts, including electrical harnesses, piping, air valves, HVAC, compressors, traction box, and other components.
- Modify and repair electrical and mechanical aspects of the propulsion and braking systems.
- Repetition of mechanical and electrical work, such as gluing, fitting, crimping, soldering cabling, drilling, and other tasks to complete the railway vehicle.
- Use and manipulate lifting and transporting devices, such as overhead cranes, to install, replace, and align subassemblies and components.
- Perform self-inspection of railway car components to identify defects and ensure quality.
- Remove and replace defective parts and components, such as wires, relays, doors, windows, and other items.
- Assist in the testing of electrical and electro-mechanical components using test equipment, such as multimeters, and perform calibration for doors to ensure product specifications are met.
- Proficiently cross-reference technical documents and highlight any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Interact with co-workers, quality inspectors, team leaders, supervisors, and managers daily.
- Work closely with support functions to identify and propose suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Organize work instruction documents, tools, and railway car parts daily.
- Mandatory:
- Experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician.
- Able to accurately assemble components.
- Ability to read, write, and follow procedures, with a focus on safety.
- Ability to manage time well, prioritize, and sequence tasks.
- Willingness to be trained in more than one discipline of the rolling stock process to increase flexibility.
- SMART electronic device competence.
- Desirable:
- Several years of experience in precise fitting activities.
- Experience and skills appreciated to become a Team leader.
- Exposed to electrical/mechanical technical training or education.
- Experience in the lean manufacturing assembly process.
- Machinery manufacturing.
- Continuous standing throughout the shift.
- Lift up to 25 KGs.
- Repetitive movements.
- Work all shifts flexibly when job demands.
