We are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to oversee the receiving and processing of merchandise at our Walmart Canada location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of associates to ensure a safe and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and reset the Receiving Area to ensure a smooth flow of merchandise.
- Unload and sort general merchandise trailers, and complete live unloading of other types of merchandise.
- Delegate and follow up on tasks, including pulling pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.
- Assist in stocking, applying product protection, and binning overstock merchandise as assigned.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback to associates.
- Act as team lead by providing direction to CAP 2 Associates.
- Maintain the cold chain for refrigerated and frozen receiving.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of receiving and processing operations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
