About the Role

As a Department Manager at H&M, you will be responsible for leading and supporting your team to achieve exceptional results. You will be the driving force behind creating an inclusive culture that fosters collaboration and innovation, ensuring a seamless customer experience and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Sales & Profit
    • Ensure a high-quality customer experience, maintaining visual and commercial standards in-store.
    • Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions, providing exceptional service and product knowledge.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying opportunities to optimize results and drive growth.
    • Develop and implement plans to achieve sales targets, ensuring a strong commercial focus.
  • Fashion & Trend Awareness
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, styles, and brands, ensuring your team is knowledgeable and confident in their product expertise.
    • Provide product and fashion knowledge to customers, enhancing their shopping experience and driving sales.
  • Team & Development
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop your team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
    • Complete performance evaluations and succession planning, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
    • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandiser team to drive visual and commercial standards in-store.
    • Provide regular feedback and coaching to your team, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Retail Operations/ Visual & Commercial Execution
    • Ensure a clean and tidy sales floor and back-of-house areas, maintaining high standards of visual and commercial presentation.
    • Monitor and maintain stock levels, providing input on allocation to the Area team.
    • Implement and maintain visual and commercial standards in-store, ensuring a strong brand image.
    • Manage the opening and closing of the store, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

You will be able to motivate and inspire your team, driving results and growth. You will be analytical and solution-focused, with a strong commercial acumen and ability to drive sales growth.
