River Ridge II Retirement Residence is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recreation Aide to join our team. As a Recreation Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging recreational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement recreational programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents.
- Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Director to ensure seamless execution of activities and events.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with setup and cleanup of equipment and materials for activities.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High degree of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a hospital, long-term care, or retirement setting is an asset.
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in recreation/leisure studies is desirable but not required.
- Computer skills and proficiency in software applications are an asset.
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends.
- Valid Driver's License and Class F License (preferred).
- Received at least two (2) doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine.
