Port Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Port Superintendent to join our team at the City of New York. As a key member of our Marine Operations department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of vessel and crew scheduling, ensuring seamless operations and optimal efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Manage vessel and crew scheduling, including liaising with treatment plants and communicating schedule postings and revisions as necessary.
- Assume managerial responsibility for skimming vessel operations, including vessel and crew assignments.
- Support additional responsibilities as assigned or directed by the Senior Port Captain and/or Marine Section Chief of Operations.
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration.
- Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering or expediting of engineering design, and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project, with two years in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity.
- Minimum USCG Master of Self Propelled Vessels of Less than 100 GRT License (Inland, Near Coastal OR Oceans) or Third Mate Unlimited Tonnage Upon Oceans.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with vessel operations and administering vessel and crew schedules.
- Degree from accredited Maritime College.
