Job Title: Dry Cleaning Technician

We are seeking a skilled Dry Cleaning Technician to join our team at Metro Cleaners 1994 Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines. They will also mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals. Additionally, they will hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles, and hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying machines
  • Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other solutions and chemicals
  • Hand fold and bag shirts, sheets, and other articles
  • Hand iron laundered fine linens or dry-cleaned silk garments
  • Operate finishing equipment such as steam pressers, and use hand irons to finish pants, jackets, shirts, skirts, and other dry cleaned and laundered articles
  • Operate fur ironing and glazing equipment to finish fur garments and other fur articles
  • Assemble and bag finished articles
  • Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met
  • Match invoices or tags with dry-cleaned or laundered articles
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 32 to 40 hours of work per week
