Job Summary

The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Market Rules Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our market governance team, you will play a critical role in reviewing and facilitating changes to market rules exemptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a fair and efficient market.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze market rule exemptions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to facilitate changes to market rules exemptions
• Develop and implement strategies to promote a fair and efficient market
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members on market governance and compliance matters

Requirements

• Academic training in business, law, engineering, or economics
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in the electricity sector, with a strong understanding of market governance and compliance principles
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others to work collaboratively as a team
