About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is physically fit, and can work independently with minimal supervision. As a Caregiver Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming; administering medication; and performing light housekeeping duties.

  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients;
  • Assisting clients with meal preparation and serving;
  • Laundering clothing and household linens;
  • Mending clothing and linens;
  • Performing light housekeeping duties;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a caregiving or healthcare setting, an asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks that may require standing, bending, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Working Conditions

This role requires working in a non-smoking environment, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors. You will also need to be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by clients.
