Accounting Coordinator, Development

The role of the Accounting Coordinator, Development Accounting at QuadReal Property Group is to oversee the full cycle of the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, approval coordination, contract management, vendor payments, and inquiries for the portfolio of commercial and residential properties under development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process routine invoices, ensuring timely payment and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the development team and accountants to ensure accurate coding, reconciliations, and payments.
  • Screen and organize general contractor invoices, internal purchase orders, and vendor statements.
  • Prepare AP vouchers and other administrative forms.
  • Review vendor statements and follow up with the development team for missing invoices.
  • Assist with administration duties within the development accounting team, as required.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience in an accounting role in real estate development and/or construction contractor environment.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or real estate.
  • Familiarity with Yardi accounting system or comparable experience.
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
