About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Sponsored Products UX and product teams, you will leverage research and direct anecdotes from customers to identify shopper needs that aren't being met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a vocal advocate for shoppers and sellers in stakeholder meetings, ensuring their needs are balanced and met.
  2. Contribute to product strategy via doc writing, ideation, and design reviews, driving innovation and excellence.
  3. Deliver solutions for complex customer, design, and technical problems, refining design patterns and standards.
  4. Share knowledge effectively with peers and stakeholders to drive cross-team alignment and adoption of best practices.
  5. Communicate and collaborate with partner teams, providing solutions that demonstrate knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of the technology stack.
  6. Leverage high judgement to make trade-offs between shopper and seller needs, ensuring a seamless experience.
  7. Work with UXR and partner teams to identify and aggregate disparate qualitative and quantitative data to inform design solutions at the product level.
  8. Find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path, or escalate appropriately, driving consensus and progress.
  9. Contribute to the professional development of colleagues via mentorship, reviews, and leadership, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

Qualifications
  • Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature.
  • Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Experience designing customer-facing retail products.
  • Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.
  • Experience working with Figma, Figjam, Slack, and Quip.
