We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Advisor Lead to join our team at Prospera Credit Union. As a key member of our advisory team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with our highest value members while providing back-up leadership support to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Proficiently assess members' financial objectives, risk tolerance, and unique needs to provide tailored advice.
- Effectively create holistic financial strategies that encompass investment, lending, protection, and omni-channel day-to-day banking.
- Facilitate referrals to trusted partners (other lines of business or external as required), ensuring a smooth transition of the member while maintaining trust.
- Responsible for the onboarding and initiating relationship conversations and introductions with new retail and business members that fit within the highest value member portfolio.
- Develops and advances member relationships through the utilization of Financial Health Checks, pipeline management, and effective referrals to other Line of Business Specialists.
What You'll Bring:
- Grade 12 or Equivalent and Business Administration or Marketing diploma or degree (a plus).
- 3+ years in financial services with at least one year in an advisory capacity.
- Experience with mortgage lending (preliminary credit assessments) and selling mutual funds (required).
- Licensed to sell mutual funds (required).
- CUIC 210 or equivalent internal training to be completed within 12 months.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
- Detail oriented and organized, ability to effectively manage time.
- Understanding of risk and mitigation tactics.
- Demonstrated results and high performance in the RML or equivalent role.
- Experience in a professional financial advisory sales environment.
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of financial products and services.
