About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at HIGHWAY KING TRANSPORT LTD. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty truck and trailer repair, with expertise in engine repair, diesel engines, brake systems, and truck-trailer repair. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including engines, brakes, and suspension systems.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components, ensuring all work is done to manufacturer specifications.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer repair.
  • Diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., automotive, mechanical, or industrial trades).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong physical stamina, with ability to lift 50 kg and work in a fast-paced environment.
