Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Bouygues Energies & Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform heavy cleaning work, including the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces, extraction of broadloom carpets, and cleaning of surfaces that require ladder or scaffolding access.
  • Garbage Removal: Collect and remove garbage from drop points to a garbage bin or compactor.
  • Snow Removal: Remove snow from entrances and allocated sidewalks using walk-behind snow machines and manual shovels during winter.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate maintenance machinery, including garbage compactors, and transport it between floors and job sites as needed.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Clean glass areas, washroom floors, stairwells, and elevator cabs that require ladders or extension equipment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment. Ability to use auto scrubbers, burnishers, and other carpet/floor cleaning equipment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate good interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate in English to respond to customer inquiries as required.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work with little supervision and solve problems independently.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with H&S regulations and company policies, attend required health & safety training, and report any unsafe conditions or hazards.
