Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Interior Design Assistant to join our team at ONTARIO INC. As an Interior Design Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings to understand design requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and safety requirements.
  • Develop detailed plans and 3D models showing the arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting, and other fixtures.
  • Advise clients on the selection of colours, finishes, materials, lighting, furniture, and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards.
  • Utilize 3D graphic software, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word to create and edit designs.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in interior design or a related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D graphic software, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

  • 35 hours per week.
  • Permanent work term.
  • English language required.
