Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Belcan. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's utilities systems, providing reliable environmental conditions, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize service interruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and operate utilities systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide specified and reliable environmental conditions, reporting abnormal conditions to the Maintenance Manager.
- Perform preventive maintenance, plan projects, and ensure machinery development to minimize service interruptions.
- Efficiently test, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, components, and controls, arranging regular inspections.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts to minimize downtime on production.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required.
- Install and service various types of air compressors.
- Repair and maintain solenoids, flow controls, jet pulse (dust collector/baghouse).
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with good manufacturing practice, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Industrial maintenance mechanical certificate in maintenance or certified Red Seal Millwright.
- 3-5 years of previous maintenance experience is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, able to learn new machines and processes within a short time frame.
- Good understanding of machine functions with ability to achieve high level of precision.
- Good housekeeping skills in accordance with 5S principles.
- Able to adhere to all health and safety rules and safety procedures.
