About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at FAST DRYWALL LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in cold or hot temperatures, and in dusty conditions. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Excellent physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
