ADESA Canada is the country's largest wholesale vehicle auction and remarketing services company.


We provide state-of-the-art facilities and technologies to help dealers and consignors buy and sell used cars, trucks, RVs, boats, motorcycles, and heavy equipment.


At ADESA Vancouver, one of our 14 wholesale vehicle auctions across Canada, we're looking for a skilled Transportation Driver to join our team.


As a Transportation Driver, you will be assigned to drive a variety of vehicles to and from our vehicle logistics centers (ADESA locations), providing our customers with local pick-up and delivery services.


You may also provide assistance with inventory moves within the ADESA lot.


We're looking for individuals who want to work on a part-time basis, meet interesting people, and have fun at the same time.

General Employment Details:


Casual (8-28 hours/week) available, shifts available all week, Monday through Friday, no evenings.


Hours: Depend on the type of trip, for example, the Interior and Vancouver Island trips would commence at 5:30 AM, local trips would commence at 8:30 AM.


Hourly Rate: $17.40.


Responsibilities:


• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas, as well as pick up and deliver vehicles while observing auction driving rules, rules of the road, demonstrating courteous and defensive driving principles. • Accurately input data using CarsArrive app pre/post delivery • Must be safety-conscious and ensure that vehicle is road-worthy by checking tires, fuel, lights, signals, and brakes using our pre-trip safety process. • Report all incidents properly and immediately per established procedures. • Represent the auction in a professional and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service and demonstrating teamwork • May be assigned to work in the yard to assist with vehicle inventory moves and lot turn. • Other duties as assigned.


Educational/Experience Requirements:


• Valid driver's license required (Class 5 minimum)


• Satisfactory driver's abstract and criminal record check required.


• Ability to drive a standard transmission preferred.


• Basic computer and smartphone skills required.


• Must be comfortable driving long distances (up to 2.5 hours one way)


• Must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions.


• Available to work a flexible schedule, as our shifts may vary based on business volume.


• Sound knowledge of the lower mainland.
